Marvel Studios’ has released a new TV spot for the highly anticipated film Captain Marvel which stars Academy Award-winner Brie Larson in the title role as Carol Danvers. The new TV spot mostly features footage shown in the first two Captain Marvel trailers. But with the film just two months away from release, Disney has now switched to aggressive marketing and promotional campaign to create hype about the upcoming film among fans.
While the 30-second promo doesn’t have anything new to offer, it does highlight the incredible power of Captain Marvel. You can check out the TV spot in the video below.
The Marvel Studios official Twitter account has also confirmed that it will drop an exclusive look at Captain Marvel during CFP National Championship Game on ESPN on Monday. The new look is expected to offer some exciting unseen footage from the film.
Meanwhile, Concept artists and Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development, Andy Park, took to Twitter during the weekend to reveal his cover for Marvel’s Captain Marvel: The Art of the Movie. The cover features Brie Larson’s MCU female superhero flying among the stars. It also shows Carol Danvers leading the interstellar peacekeeping team Starforce in the background.
The book in question will feature a collection of sketches and concept art that inspired the movie. It is currently up for preorder on Amazon for $50 and is expected to be available on March 5.
As the film’s promotion is entering the final stage, fans should expect lots of behind-the-scenes featurettes, TV spots, stills, interviews and look for Captain Marvel to drop in the upcoming days.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they co-wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel will see Carol going back further on a journey of self-discovery to find out her true identity. The film arrives on March 8.
