Earlier at San Diego Comic-Con, Attendees were treated with an extended clip from The Predator which showed the ultimate predator taking on another small predator. And well, we all know which one didn’t stand a chance against the other.
While fans around the world are waiting for their next trailer or clip to pop up soon, the studio on the other hand still seems to be busy ‘completing’ work on the project. A new report that caught our eye has revealed that The Predator is yet again going through reshoots.
According to a recent listing from Production Weekly, The Predator is set to undergo additional photography on July 28 and 29. This would be the second time the project goes through reshoots.
The first reshoots that took place back in April changed about three-quarters of the movie’s third act. A detailed breakdown of the reshoot from fan site AvPGalaxy described scenes which were removed (Due to fans’ criticism). Since the article contains spoilers it will not be discussed in this post. Fans are urged to visit their site and check it out.
Though reshoots are common and don’t necessarily scream that the project is in trouble, the upcoming 2-day additional photography is still too close to the movie’s release date set for this September 12th.
Fans must also take note that several projects in Hollywood have turned out to be a massive blockbuster due to the scenes that were included after reshoots. Even Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a critically acclaimed movie which crossed the 1$ billion mark at the box office worldwide screamed trouble. but the reshoots saved the project.
Fans will most likely hear more about the reshoots after the movie’s release.
In other related news, some Predator fans may have earlier read a report stating that the upcoming movie will introduce female predators. Unfortunately, that rumor has turned out to be false as Bloody Disgusting has confirmed that movie does not feature a female Yautja.
